That would be JAMES BROWN!!!!
Oh, sorry, I thought you said SOUL channel of communication!!!
I got the fever!!!
has the gb ever explained exactly how they supposedly communicate with god and get new light or other "inspiration" for their "spiritual dog food"?.
do they all sit in a room together and hold hands and join one conciousness??.
do they fall asleep and go to the dream world and talk to jehovah there like the movie inception or something??.
That would be JAMES BROWN!!!!

i , and my wife had probably left about 12 months prior to this magazine coming out , and i never at that time had any knowledge of it till many years later when i joined this site.. when i did see it , i was appalled that they could put out such an article , in a magazine they would distribute throughout the world .. to me it smacked of child abuse .
these were kids , who had no life experiences , who were far too young to make life or death choices of their own , were influenced by religous leaders who had their own agenda , and sadly by family , relatives and freinds who were indoctrinated by a man made religion that has its roots in america in the late 1800`s .. so my question is , did this episode of child abuse go under the radar of mainstream media ?
did it escape child protection agencies of the time ?.
Funny that you should mention this particular magazine. I remember the reaction of several very well. I had been married for many years before the magazine came out and many of my friends were already having children. I wondered what their reaction would be so I asked a couple. Like typical born-in JW's, they considered the children martyrs that manifested faith in the resurrection and adherence to God's word. The party line was being towed. As for me, well, I too was appalled. Even without kids I looked at the magazine as a testament to how far te organization would go to demonstrate its impact on its members.
To this day I am appalled. It is commensurate with sacrificing them to Molech or Baal. There are many who believe that the blood doctrine will become a conscious matter. If that happens, the lives of these children will be even less valuable than they were when they gave them. Their memory will be tarnished as a "it didn't have to happen" issue.

i attended my last meeting in january 2014, having realised that i'd been lied to for 20+ years (i'm now 43 y/o).
rumours spread of my 'apostasy'.. in may, cobe contacted me inviting me to a private meeting with elders at the kh.
(no mention of the meeting being a jc).
Good for U
so, the round of "regional" conventions has been going on for a few months now.
for those that attended, or those that got transcripts of the parts,.
what was the most absurd thing you heard at yours?.
One Eyed Joe,
I recall the same demo with the young guys and "Satisfying the desire." I thought it was kind of a crack up....in circles that no one at Bethel mentions, the belief of some of the big wigs is that in the "new order" or "Paradise" everyone will be assigned where they will live just like when Jehovah assigned the Promised Land....So the demo is moot. This SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE DEMO>>>>
(Young kid) Hey, I wanted to live in the mountains!
(Eartly Prince) Sorry kid, all the mountain estates are already filled by "helpers" to the GB and Circuit Overseers under 70.
(Young kid) What about the beach then? Can I live on the beach?
(Earthly Prince) -stifling a laugh- Kid, look, you didn't pioneer, you didnt go to bethel, your record of faithful service as found in the new scrolls shows that you worked on a quick build once and helped with the Kingdom Hall cleaning and microphones. You'll take what your given.
(Young kid) Well, what about the beach?
(Earthly Prince) Look, the beach estates are filled with the young widows of former Governing Body members and members of the Service Committee and Legal Department. The former, because they sacrificed so much by being married to those men that they knew would end up going to heaven and deserve it. The latter, because they helped the organization survive the pedo scandals and kept the organization solvent.
(Young kid)-rolling his eyes- What about all that talk at the assembly of satisfying the desire of every living thing? I mean, I made it into Paradise and now you're telling me I have to live where I don't want to live?
(Earthly Prince)-a practiced stern look- Kid, let me ask you a question...Do you want to live or die?
(Young kid)-sheepishly- Live.
(Earthly Prince) Is your desire to live greater than your desire to reside in the mountains or by the beach?
(Young kid)- Of course.
(Earthly Prince)- Then your "desire" -finger quotes- is being satisfied.
(Young kid)- Well, I guess. -he hesitates, scratching his head- Where am I going to live then?
(Earthly Prince)-pulling out a notebook computer and accessing the "scrolls" as found on JW.org- You have been assigned to live over that hill. -he points-
(Young kid)- But....that's where the old garbage dump was!
(Earthly Prince) You know, you're right. It's there waiting to be transformed into a paradise. Maybe you should have thought about doing more back in the old system. All those people who sacrificed are getting the choicest lots, the best views, the prime real estate, THEIR desires are a lot more important than yours.
(Young kid)- walking away with his head down- Doesn't sound much like a Paradise for the rest of us.
(Earthly Prince) -perturbed- Excuse me, WHAT?!?
(Young kid) Nothing.

I got to say, I heard every talk, give or take 3 or 4, ok maybe 5. But, the absolutely most absurd thing I heard has got to be the rehashing of the Overlapping Generation. Yes, we are all aware of it. But, we only read it in print. To hear a BIG WIG describe the absurdity of the belief and then hear the applause after his explanation was Orwellian to say the least.
I just folded my arms and rolled my eyes.

from the 2013 new world translation 2 tim.
all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of god may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.. .
as jw's we must have read that scripture a thousand times.
If you believe that the Bible is the true and inalterable word of God, than it should be enough. However, if you believe the Bible is a series of books based on legend and myth, developed over the course of centuries and whose contents was selected by a man who was a notable apostate of the early christian church in the second century then you might need some other reading material.
ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.
in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..
Never gonna happen....This is a good ole boys club. Very misogynistic
if push came to shove and it was a showdown for loyalty to the organization or not following whatever decrees coming heir way, what percentage would remain loyal to the organization?
.
I thought about this question and changed my response several times. At first, I thought no way, the majority would NOT drink the literal kool aid because they organization has said they would "never" ask the brothers to do something that would endanger them.... Then, I realized that the organization has already asked their followers to do things that endanger their lives....aka...blood doctrine. So...Yes, I believe that more than you can imagine would drink the kool-aid, I think more would reject it based on flavor than outcome...
"Grape? All you have is grape?"
nathan h. knorr was the third president of the watchtower society.
he was by mentality a clerk, with a fondness for instructing young male brooklyn bethel inductees as to what was the "right handling" of their genitalia.
it goes without saying he was a liar, a fraud, a hypocrite, a swindler, a conman and a thoroughly evil bastard, and let f.franz perpetrate the great 1975 hoax to boost membership, murdering the hopes of millions of elderly victims while so doing.. joseph f. "judge for 4 days" rutherford was the second president of the watchtower society.
Knorr and "right handling"? Give me a break. You can accuse him of a lot of stuff, but that is utter nonsense and makes the rest of your assertions lack credibility. Knorr was "the organizer." He challenged Rutherford on every front he was involved in. He clandestinely published a Bible with the Society's presses without the approval of Rutherford and this single step was what set his presidency in motion. As for letting Franz loose, let's just say that Knorr was no spiritual guru....Franz was the oracle and everyone from Russel to Jaracz knew it. He had free rein and nobody could stop him until he was found babbling to himself walking down the hallways in 25 with his pendleton like some old-school cholo.
As for the cane and hat. It was the fashion at the time, Covington has one too. It was also a means for self-defense in lieu of a club like the attendants used at Cedar Point....Advertise, Advertise, Advertise!
My caption,
"I think I just saw David and Moses over by the food stands. You did say they were here, didn't you Judge?"
the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.
"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".
I agree that the winds of change are coming....JW.ORG is SOOOO amazing. It is like no other website EVER! Thousands of people ask for studies a month, millions of publications are downloaded. It is a veritable gold mine of donation revenue! Praise JEEBUS!
On a serious note.
"the third heaven" was an adjustment that lends itself to further clarification in a BIG way. The fact that "paradise" is mentioned in conjunction with the 3rd heaven and the fact that the ORG decided this needed to be studied and clarified my well present the opportunity to describe the "paradise" in line with Revelation and the great crowd being "before" the throne.
As for service and door to door ending? Never gonna happen. It serves to humiliate the sheep and a sheep that is humiliated is easily led.
